For parents of young children, we have a nursing room/supervised nursery located downstairs and Sunday School classes for children age 2 (as of September 1, 2023) through 6th grade, which meet during our worship service. Our offering is intended for those who consider NSCCC their home church. If you are a visitor, please do not feel obligated to participate.
Announcements: Teachers Needed for Summer Quarter: The Children’s Ministry is seeking Sunday school teachers for June through August. If you are interested, please contact Angel Lee or the Children’s Ministry Committee at NSCCCkids@gmail.com. Prayer Request: A few upper elementary families from the Children’s Ministry will be attending the Passport to Purity family weekend, May 17–19, in the Children’s Wing. Please keep them in your prayers. End of Year Presentation: Next Sunday, May 19, 10:30 a.m., the 5th & 6th grade Sunday school class will have a presentation between services. Please plan your time accordingly to attend. Memorial Weekend Church Picnic: On Saturday, 5/25, we will be having a picnic from 11am - 4pm. There will be food and fun (with pickleball and other sports). Stay tuned for more details, and please be thinking about friends and relatives to invite! Summer Retreat Registration: We praise God that preparations are well underway for our upcoming Summer Retreat at Judson University, June 21–23. Registration will begin in two weeks. Until then, please see the bulletin insert for the theme and graphical vision for this annual church-wide gathering. The Lord has provided such gifted servants in our church, planning and arranging for a time of fruitful fellowship and spiritual formation. We don’t want you to miss it! Dearborn STM: For our third year running, our Missions Committee is inviting members to join the outreach ministry to those of the Muslim faith. In partnership with the Chicago Chinese Christian Missions (CCCM), we invite you to prayerfully consider this opportunity. There are two separate dates in September (Wednesday– Sunday) to choose from. One unique aspect of outreach to the Muslim community is that families, and especially women, are desperately needed to more fully exemplify the love of Christ to this culture. Ongoing Ministries: Prayer Ministry: Our monthly congregational prayer meetings are at 9:45 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month.
